Welcome to the Cop City Syllabus

With the next Week of Action beginning on February 19, 2023, we decided it was time to gather up some resources and share them in a centralized spot. This syllabus is for anyone looking to learn about the struggle to Stop Cop City, especially educators and group facilitators interested in bringing the topic into their classrooms or group spaces.

Currently the syllabus has a selection of articles tracking the history of Cop City and the Weelaunee Forest, as well as suggested background reading on Atlanta, abolition, and environmental justice and direct action. We also have a brief section of sample activities intended to inspire educators and others.
